Youth Care Workers-Naperville & Downers Grove, IL.
Job Summary:Provide for the physical and emotional needs of residents as directed. Work with Group Home team to ensure performance of team duties, and to receive supervision. Responsible for supervising and monitoring residents. Enforce and maintain consistency concerning policies, rules and licensing standards. Work cooperatively with other staff in planning and supervision of recreational and leisure time activities within Group Home and community, assisting in planning and carrying out of therapeutic activities for assigned clients. Make frequent decisions regarding residents activities and behaviors; know whereabouts of each resident at all times; coordinate coming and going of each individual in residence. Maintain directions for use of all mediations; alert Manager to any need for medical attention. Exercise control over admission of visitors and use of telephone; maintain proper privacy and security of residents and staff on duty. Teach and assist residents in life skills, i.e. maintenance of their rooms and assigned areas of Home; good personal hygiene practices; meal preparation and clean up. Perform required record keeping for daily logs and resident files; process resident intakes and discharges. Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field from accredited school and experience required. Maintenance of required driver approval standards. Minimum age requirement is 21. Must posses good organization, decision-making and judgement skills. Must be flexible and willing to work weekend and/or evening shifts to meet staffing needs. Must be able to work with the adolescent population and be able to maintain confidentiality. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required.


Part-Time Therapist Position-Chicago West Englewood
Position located on the Southside of Chicago. West Englewood community. Provides direct clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, therapy to assigned clients and families; provide clinical consultation to other programs and staff as needed. Working on a part-time as needed basis. No benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides individual and group therapy to assigned clients and family. Performs timely and clinically sound diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and therapeutic treatment methods in accordance with Armour procedures. Provides outreach services, per case plans, as clinically appropriate. Review case plans quarterly, and as required. Assists in marketing of Armour Program to possible referral sources. Participates in regular clinical consultation, and provides consultation to staff as needed. Provides crisis coverage for assigned cases for program per Armour guidelines. Ensure that clients are offered quality, professional services per directives of: Council on Accreditation, NASW Social Work Code of Ethics, the Team, and other recognized groups. Follows agency policies and procedures with respect to Program services and management. Meets billing requirements; maintains records and statistical reports, as required. Recommends psychiatric services for clients as appropriate; refers and consults with all parties; educates and assists client and family with medication management, coordinate collateral therapeutic services.

Qualifications: MA, AM, MSW, or ability to become clinically licensed in Illinois. Minimum two (2) to three (3) years direct service experience with similar populations. Ability to maintain confidentiality; exercise discretion and use sound, independent judgement. Must have a perceptive awareness and responses of children, adolescents, and the capacity to work effectively with adults. Must have ability to work evenings/weekends hours. Must meet and maintain Agency driving standards. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required. LCSW or LCPC preferred but not required. Also, seeking bilingual/bicultural Spanish speaking candidate.

Foster Care Case Manager-Chicago
ONLY SEEKING DCFS LICENSED CANDIDATES-MUST HAVE LICENSURE & CERAP & SACWIS CERTIFICATIONS IN ORDER TO APPLY.

Description: Position located on Chicago Westside. Parking included.

Job Summary: Perform casework services for foster care children and foster parents. Advocating for children in court, home visits assessing families & transportation of clients. Emphasis on meeting client’s environmental and physical needs, and implementing a permanent living plan for each child. Also seeking bilingual/bicultural candidates who are fluent in Spanish.

Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Human Services, or related, from accredited school. Passing of all DCFS required exams and certifications, including DCFS Child Welfare Licensure, CERAP,CCA, 402 & SACWIS. Maintenance of required driver approval, plus insured automobile that meets standards for safety and driveability. Min 1year experience required and DCFS licensed.


Grand Family Program Coordinator-Harvey, IL.
Job Summary:As Program-wide specialist, provide direct services and resources for Grandparents, as outlined by Program plan; perform administrative assignments as required to accomplish mission of grant. Provide outreach services in accordance with the Program plan.

Provide short-term individual and group support services, and referrals and linkage to other available services, as needed and per Program guidelines. Facilitate respite and relief services per Program guidelines Provide support to the grandparent and family through homevisits. Facilitate a grandparent peer support group within the community. Assist grandparents in terms of their relationships with and concerns for the child through group training and supplemental supports. Maintain accurate records and statistics as required. Participate in ongoing training, and meet all Agency and/or DCFS requirements..

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field from accredited school, plus two or more years casework experience. Maintenance of required driver approval standards, plus insured automobile that meets standards for safety. Perceptive awareness of the needs and responses of children, and capacity to work well with adults. Ability to organize work, and prepare required reports. Flexibility and willingness to work evening and/or week-end hours, if needed, to carry out all job responsibilities.


Immigration Case Manager-Waukegan, IL.
Job Summary:Recruit and assist immigrant applicants in completing the process for United States naturalization and citizenship. Conduct initial applicant interview to determine eligibility Coordinate and participate on off site outreach and recruitment activities. Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteer instructors for citizenship classes. Maintain schedule of applicants’ appointments. Assist applicants in completing and submitting application and appropriate supportive documents. For eligible clients, complete all necessary documents for naturalization, adjustment of status, visa processing, temporary protective status, permanent resident card renewals and other INS classifications. Facilitate applicant’s enrollment and attendance in required citizenship courses Photograph applicants according to INS specifications. Schedule individual instruction as needed to ensure participation and success. Maintain regular contact with applicant to monitor progress. Prepare reports as needed Participate in ongoing training, and meet all the agency and/or INS requirements.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, or related, from accredited school. Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish. At least two years’ experience in immigration services. Accredited through the Bureau of Immigration Appeals or prepared to apply for such accreditation. Maintenance of required driver approval standards, plus insured automobile that meets standards for safety and drivability. Ability to organize work, and prepare required reports. Must be flexible and willing to work evening and/or weekend hours, if needed, to carry out all job responsibilities.

 

Parent Educator-Chicago & Waukegan, IL.
Job Summary:Provide assistance to program participants, including pregnant and parenting adults and children aged 3 years and younger. The Parent Educator is also responsible for providing resources and support through educational and family development activities. Participates in initial orientation and ongoing training. Conducts home visits scheduled according to program requirements to families and provide services as outlined in the service plan. Build and encourage constructive relationships with the families to increase their knowledge of their children’s developmental needs and ability to advocate for the family. Serve as a positive role model for parents to help strengthen the parenting skills of adult caregivers in the families. Complete initial assessments on parents and children according to ChildServ and program requirements. Refer parents to community resources and provide follow-up to ensure needs were met. Complete all required documentation by established deadlines. Participate in activities offered for families. Encourage and motivate parents to attend. Recruit new families through positive promotion of the agency and its programs. Maintain confidential family files that are accurate and current. Participate in schedules group and individual supervision meetings, providing progress of families and concerns.

Qualifications:Parent Educators must be at least 21 years of age. Bachelors Degree required in Early Childhood Education or similar required. Must be familiar with the ethnic background and sensitive to the cultures of families in target communities. Must meet Agency and DCFS driver approval standards, and have vehicle that meets legal standards for insurance, maintenance and drivability. Additional program specific qualifications may apply.

ChildServ Summary of Employee Benefits
A complete statement of personnel policies and practices will be provided at time of employment.
All benefits are current as of fiscal year 2007 (July 1, 2006 - June 30, 2007) and are subject to change.

  • Orientation Period - Six (6) months of continuous employment.
  • Salary - Paid semi-monthly (15th and last day of month)
  • Sick Days - Earn one (1) sick day per month worked. Accrued sick days may be taken after completion of orientation period. Maximum Accrual: 90 days.
  • Vacation Days - Paid Vacation is on a non-accruing basis, that must be taken within the Agency's fiscal year of July 1st - June 30th.
  • Personal Days â?" Earn one (1) day after completion of orientation period. Earn three (3) days after one year of continuous employment. Personal days do not accumulate.
  • Holidays - Ten (10) paid holidays per year.
  • 401(K) - Eligible to participate after 6 months of continuous employment. Open enrollment occurs four times a year, January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1. The agency may contribute and match your contribution by a percentage determined by the Board of Trustees.
  • Group Insurance Plans - (Cafeteria Plan) Employees receive credits that may be used to purchase Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Supplemental Life Insurance, Vision Insurance, Disability Income Insurance, and Critical Care Insurance.
  • Education Assistance - Eligible one (1) year after completion of orientation period, with agency approval. Reimbursement for tuition plus paid time off for classes.
