The Family Childcare Home Program connects Lake County parents to a network of DCFS-licensed in-home childcare providers in order to help them find a safe place to drop off their children when they need to work, attend school, or (in cases when a parent works a night shift) sleep.
Because this program is designed for low-income families, ChildServ also helps parents apply for state subsidies to pay for these services. When children attend in-home childcare, their typical day includes educational activities, music, games, play time, meals and naptime.
