ChildServ Group Homes give teenagers and young adults nurturing, structured, therapeutic homes when their life circumstances make it impossible for them to live with a parent and they have not been placed in traditional foster care. Our group home supervisors create an environment meant to help residents, age 12 to 21, find more stability and resolve the problems that brought them into placement.
- ChildServ operates three Group Homes and two Transitional Living Program locations in DuPage County.
- Staff builds community relationships to create well-rounded support for the emotional, educational and behavioral
development of each adolescent resident. - ChildServ’s College and Career Access Program helps residents investigate and pursue college and training.
- Staff works to expose residential clients to real-life scenarios that build self-esteem, self-confidence, self-control,
positive life goals, responsibility and good citizenship. - 100% of our eligible group home clients graduated from high school or obtained their GED in Fiscal Year 2011; 75% of them enrolled in college.
- Our staff was successful in helping 88% of the transitional living clients in mastering the majority of measurable life skills by the end of Fiscal Year 2011.
Teens who reside in ChildServ's Group Homes and Transitional living locations have the additional benefit of participating in ChildServ's
College and Career Access Program (CCAP).
