KAA's Early Childhood Programs

Kids Above All’s early childhood education programs help kids in under-resourced communities, in Chicago, Kane County, Lake County, and Suburban Cook County, to get ready to succeed in school and in life.

Our staff visit the homes of prenatal women and families to provide support to parents so they become their child’s best advocates and our kids are prepared for school.

We work with our early childhood families free of charge to ensure each child lives, learns and grows in a safe, nurturing environment, so they can realize their full potential.

Kids Above All’s Doula Program in Kane, Lake and Suburban Cook counties support prenatal women and new families, so they have the best possible start to their lives together. Our DONA-trained doulas work with our clients through pregnancy, birth and early parenting.

The Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) promotes early learning, brain development and resilience in young children ages 0-3. Kids Above All’s Educators visit families’ homes and empower parents with the information and resources to be their child’s first teachers. Using an evidence-based curriculum, PEP strengthens the parent-child bond and helps kids achieve developmental milestones.

Kids Above All’s Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) is a home visiting program that ensures children ages 3-5 in Chicago and South Suburban Cook County are ready for kindergarten. Our evidence-based curriculum improves our kids early math, science, reading, social and emotional skills. It also provides parents with information to better understand their child’s development, so they can prepare them for a bright future.

Our Family Child Care Homes (FCCH) program ensures children in Lake County have a safe, education-focused environment while their parents work or are in school.
