Therapeutic Trauma Initiative
|
The Therapeutic Trauma Initiative (TTI) serves soldiers, spouses, and the children of military families who are dealing with emotional issues related to grief, trauma, combat, deployment, re-entry, and other related circumstances. The program is particularly useful for families with a member on active duty, who has served in a combat zone, or who is preparing for deployment.
- Our therapists have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which has been shown to be one of the most effective treatments for PTSD and is also used by Veteran Administration hospitals.
- We help clients learn about their symptoms, become more aware of and learn to question their own persistent thoughts and feelings, and understand the changes in their beliefs after trauma.
- We provide a 12-week therapy regimen that builds a foundation for approaching difficult experiences in a healthy constructive way.
- We arrange for clients to receive further treatment whey they need it.
Our TTI program has locations at in north, west and south Chicago and suburban Naperville and Waukegan.
