ChildServ’s Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic

Thank you for being part of ChildServ’s family and for your commitment to build better lives for the children and families in our care. Like you, we continue to monitor the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are keeping a close eye on official information and guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local officials.

Our first priority is, and always will be, placing the safety, health and well-being of our kids and families, members of Team ChildServ, volunteers and the community at-large above all else. To that end, after much deliberation and discussion amongst ChildServ’s senior leadership, including our Board of Trustees, the following actions are being taken, effective immediately:

  • ChildServ is temporarily closing our community-based locations, beginning Monday, March 16th. Staff will be expected to work remotely. ChildServ’s residential Group Homes, however, will remain open. The closure will be for an initial, two-week period, with offices targeted for reopening on Monday, March 30th. Future temporary closures will be determined on a week-by-week basis by ChildServ’s leadership team.
  • Our leadership team will continue monitoring all news about the Coronavirus, particularly as it relates to its spreading in the city of Chicago and suburban Cook County, as well as DuPage, Kane and Lake counties to ensure we make the best possible decision for our kids and families.

We will continue to send updates via email, on our website and through our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. Please be sure to follow them for the latest news.

Thanks again for all you do to keep our kids safe and healthy!

Best regards,

Dan Kotowski
